Lithium

Lithium is a chemical element with symbol Li and Atomic No. 3. It is a soft, silvery-white element belonging to the alkali category.

Uses
It is sometimes also used in batteries, while other times it would be used in manufacturing Ceramics, Glass and Nuclear application.

Lithium Peroxide(Li2O2 )

Lithium peroxide in presence of moisture not only reacts with carbon dioxide to form lithium carbonate, but also releases oxygen The reaction is as follows:
2 Li2O2 + 2 CO2 → 2 Li2CO3 + O2.
Lithium borate, also known as lithium tetraborate (Li2B4O7), is the lithium salt of boric acid. Lithium borate is an ingredient for use in making glasses and ceramics.
Lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2) is a chemical compound commonly used in the positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries. The structure of LiCoO2 is known theoretically and has been confirmed with techniques like x-ray diffractionelectron microscopy, neutronpowder diffraction, and EXAFS.
